Vacancies and Streams

SEBI is inviting applications from Indian citizens for a total of 110 posts (tentative) in the following streams:

General	56	Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma (min. 2 years) in any discipline, or Bachelor’s in Law/Engineering, or CA/CFA/CS/Cost Accountant. (Equivalent to Master’s as per AIU.)
Legal	20	Bachelor’s in Law (mandatory). Desirable: 2 years as Advocate post-enrollment under Advocates Act, 1961.
Information Technology	22	Bachelor’s in Engineering (any branch) or Bachelor’s in any discipline + PG (min. 2 years) in CS/CA/IT.
Research	4	Master’s/PG Diploma (min. 2 years) in Economics/Commerce/Business Admin/Econometrics/Finance/Statistics/Mathematics/Data Science/AI/ML/Big Data, or related fields (AIU equivalent).
Official Language	3	Master’s in Hindi/Hindi Translation with English at Bachelor’s, or Master’s in Sanskrit/English/Economics/Commerce with Hindi at Bachelor’s, or Master’s in both English and Hindi/Hindi Translation.
Engineering (Electrical)	2	Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (mandatory). Desirable: Knowledge of electronic systems (CCTV, alarms, EPABX, UPS), maintenance of lifts/pumps/AC, and construction project admin with PERT/CPM.
Engineering (Civil)	3	Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (mandatory). Desirable: Experience in property maintenance, construction projects with PERT/CPM, structural design (CAM/CAD/MS Project/Primavera), tender analysis, rehabilitation works, and project management.

Eligibility Highlights:

• Final Year Candidates: If you’ve appeared or will appear for your final exam by the application deadline and are awaiting results, you can apply. But joining depends on producing proof of qualification.
• Reservations: Available for OBC (NCL), EWS, SC, ST, and PwBD as per government rules.
• Age Limit: Max 30 years as on September 30, 2025 (born on/after October 1, 1995). Relaxations apply as per norms.

Selection Process

The recruitment will happen in three phases:

1. Phase I: Online exam with two papers.
2. Phase II: Online exam with two papers (for shortlisted candidates).
3. Interview: For those who clear Phase II.

SEBI may tweak the process if needed.

Pay, Benefits, and Service Conditions

• Probation: 2 years.
• Pay Scale: ₹62,500 – 3,600(4) – 76,900 – 4,050(7) – 1,05,250 – EB – 4,050(4) – 1,21,450 – 4,650(1) – 1,26,100 (17 years).
• Gross Emoluments (approx. at Mumbai): ₹1,84,000/month without accommodation; ₹1,43,000/month with accommodation.
• Other Perks: NPS contribution, allowances (Grade, Special, DA, Family, Local, Learning, etc.), LFC, medical, education, conveyance, housing, computer scheme, subsidized lunch, and more.
• Accommodation & Posting: Provided if available; postings anywhere in India, in any department regardless of stream.

• Centers: Online exams and interviews in various cities across India.
• Application Fee (Non-Refundable): ₹1,000 + 18% GST for UR/OBC/EWS; ₹100 + 18% GST for SC/ST/PwBD.
• Pre-Exam Training: Free online training for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates—opt in during application.
