Old syllabus habits will not work in 2025. Here’s exactly what to do differently.

- Dedicate daily time to current affairs (economy, IR, labour, social security)
- Focus on Govt schemes, ILO/IMF/UNDP reports, EPFO/ESIC news
- Prepare monthly compilations from PIB, Yojana, Kurukshetra
“Population, Development and Globalization” → broader “Developmental Issues & Present Trends”
- Go beyond population theory — study poverty, unemployment, skill development, climate challenges
- Use NITI Aayog reports, Economic Survey & Budget for issue-based prep
- Prepare notes on SDGs, demographic dividend, inclusive growth, gender issues
“Social Security” is now officially grouped with Labour Laws & Industrial Relations.
- Integrate notes: EPF, ESI, Gratuity, Maternity Benefit, Code on Social Security 2020
- Learn landmark Supreme Court judgments & key sections of each Act
- Solve case-based MCQs — UPSC is moving in this direction
