Educational Qualification
Stream-specific requirements
General Stream: Master’s Degree or PG Diploma (minimum 2 years) in any discipline from a recognized university (or equivalent as per AIU). OR Bachelor’s in Law / Engineering. OR CA / CFA / CS / Cost Accountant.
Other Streams: Refer to the detailed stream-wise qualifications in the Vacancies table above. Final year / appearing candidates are eligible to apply provided they produce proof of passing the qualifying examination at the time of joining.
Reservations applicable for OBC (NCL), EWS, SC, ST & PwBD as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection will be conducted in three phases. Phase I is only qualifying in nature. Final merit list is prepared on the basis of marks in Phase II (85% weightage) + Interview (15% weightage).

When will the official SEBI Grade A 2026 notification be released?
Based on the pattern of the last few years, the notification is expected between October and November 2026. The 2025 notification was released on 30th October 2025. We will update this page immediately once the official notification is out.
Can final year students apply for SEBI Grade A 2026?
Yes. Candidates who have appeared or will appear in the final examination by the last date of application can apply. However, they must produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination at the time of joining SEBI.
Is there any negative marking in SEBI Grade A exam?
Yes, there is negative marking in the objective papers of both Phase I and Phase II. The exact penalty (usually 1/4th or 1/3rd of the marks allotted to the question) will be mentioned in the official information handout released along with the notification.
What is the weightage of Interview in final selection?
The Interview carries 15% weightage while Phase II carries 85% weightage in the final merit list. Phase I is qualifying in nature and its marks are not counted for final selection.
